Cookie Policy

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work; others help measure advertising. We keep the cookies we use to a minimum.

Essential Cookies

These are needed for the website and app to work and are always on:

• makoro_consent — remembers whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies (1 year).
• makoro_region — remembers whether you chose the India or global version of our website (1 year).
• Sign-in session cookies — keep you logged in to the Makoro app and protect your account (until you sign out or the session expires).

Advertising & Measurement Cookies

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. On our website, the Meta Pixel and its cookies (such as _fbp and _fbc) load only after you click Accept in the cookie banner. They let Meta tell us which ads lead to visits and sign-ups.

• makoro_fbclid — if you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad, this stores the ad click identifier for 7 days so a later sign-up can be credited to that ad.
• Inside the Makoro app, which you use under our Terms of Service, the Meta Pixel is also used to measure sign-ups and payments, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your Choices

You can accept or reject advertising cookies in the banner when you first visit, and change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the website footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though essential cookies are needed for the site and app to work properly. To object to advertising measurement in the app, write to team@makoro.co.

Changes & Contact

We may update this Cookie Policy when the cookies we use change. The "Last Updated" date above shows when it last changed. Questions can be sent to our Grievance Officer, Hemanya Mehta, at team@makoro.co.
